Currently designing a set of suspended letters spelling DAYDREAM with sparkling jewels to face the path on East Alder Park. Two years of weather disintegrated the particle board on my circle painting. Working out mechanics of hanging, with a wind element. Next site visit, I take measurements. Sawmill to Seaport! A new slip for beloved Lady Washington.

The tall ship Lady Washington will soon have a new home port at the Historical Seaport in Aberdeen, WA on Grays Harbor. But first, my artistic interpretation of the saw mill that operated on the site from 1924 to 2005.

30 Day Art Challenge: 12/6/12, Tashiro Kaplan Seattle

Most of the 30 paintings I made for the 30-Day Art Challenge are inspired by memories of the beach: the vast, the mist, the salty spray and forceful wind.  And, I miss the kitties while there. These are all 8"x10" acrylic on canvas board. King Cat is raw canvas on board. Paintings will cost $50 at the exhibit on 12/6/12.
